RBG is highly acclaimed and is a notable and determined character in reality and through on screen portrayals. Would definitely watch again. "On the basis of sex" is a real life look at the uphill challenges that a gifted legal student and scholar faced during her early career. One of nine women who were accepted at Harvard Law School in 1956, RBG had to explain to the Dean at a formal dinner party, why she deserved to displace a man who could have gone to HLS in her stead. There were other slings and arrows but the worst was that even though she graduated first in her class, RBG was unable to find a job at a law firm. The acting for the most part is first rate and the story shows that society is slow to change even now more than 60 years later in the me-too era. The film is well paced and some of the photography is excellent.
